This new edition of the Single Six ]1973 release[ has it all. Simple mechanics, pleasing looks and the transfer bar makes it safe to carry fully loaded. The interlocking gate system does away with the need for a half cocked loading position. The only drawback is that you have to manually line up the ejection rod and the spent cartridge chamber by sight. This revolver is very smooth in operation. This is, by many experts, the very best of all single six Colt Army designs. The ruggedness and dependability of Ruger firearms is legendary. If you want a small caliber authentic western replica, this is the one to buy.
