This is a great all around gun. I am 14 now but I first shot this gun when I was 13. Im a shorter guy ]5''3[ and this is an easy gun for me to shoot and the recoil is much lower that I ever expected from a .357. The factory grips are actually very comfortable and firm but padded at the same time. It is a very user-freindly gun and it will shoot at what you were aiming at]which may be a bad thing for all of us bad shots...just kidding![ Anyway, this gun is good from A to Z. If your a Dad wanting a good quality gun that he and his boy or girl ]probably older than 11 or 12 at least to be safe[ can enjoy for many years than this is the gun you''ve been looking for.

First revolver and I''m very satisfied with this weapon. Bought for self defense and after the first 1.5K rounds now keep it to 2-3x a month for practice. Almost no recoil ]if using a 38 you might think it was a misfire![ and can do a respectable showing at 50 yards, 12 yards or less very tight pattern.

ruger gp100 6" stainless 357 magnum

Well worth the money. Very easy to hold a 2" group no matter the type of ammo or manufacturer. Have had this firearm for about a year, no problems whatsoever. I'm quite sure that were I to run this gun over with my vehicle it would still shoot true. I am going to compete in a local handgun competition next month, and will use the ruger to take the win.
