I owned the 944 and had 2 problems the first time I took it to the range . I only bought one clip with me and it would only hold 6 rounds , if I wanted a 6 shooter I would have bought a wheel gun . That was fixed by removing a "plug" from the mag . Second , it jammed about every 2 to 3 rounds , I was not a happy campe . I wanted to use it for target practice with my AK . Well I called Ruger Monday morning and explained the situation and was mailed a new ejector pin . That fixed the problem and the gun never missed a beat . It was accurate and I would trust my life with it . I just sold it because of the weight and went to a plastic gun that was a bit lighter , It also is doing me good service . Right now My carry is a bersa .380 as I likw the weight and comfort factor or I would switch to the Ruger 380. I must say that the bersa with a fobus paddle holster is a great combonation as I forget I am carrying it like you guys with the ruger!
